The journey into motherhood is nothing short of transformative.
Yet, our modern lives lead us to believe that pregnancy and birth are something you push through and quickly bounce back from. La Madre Holistic Practice is the antithesis of modern day practices.
I want to encourage you to
take it slow, to really savor your pregnancy and love your expanding womb.
To nourish your body and your baby with the optimal foods during pregnancy and postpartum. To move and balance your body so it may work in symphony with the mechanics of gestation and labor. To connect with your baby through intuition and conversation while pregnant, and through loving touch and bonding once they've arrived.
I have been called to support women in this metamorphic transition.
After the birth of my first child in 2011, I found myself immersed in this world and want nothing more than to be that loving energy beside you during your birth and that sacred time postpartum.
I believe every woman deserves a loving, knowledgeable, grounded companion by her side during pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum. My mission is to support you mentally, physically, and emotionally through the metamorphosis that is pregnancy and birth.
As a birth and postpartum doula
My ultimate goal is to...
Prioritize the Mother, so that you may best Mother your baby. To be a solid energy for you during your pregnancy with reassurance and guidance in making the decisions to best support your desired birth. To hold space for you during your labor with strong yet gentle, knowing hands and a soft voice.
To care for you during your postpartum with warm, nourishing foods, healing touch and body work, and a non judgemental, open heart that is here to hold you during this most vulnerable and beautiful time. The Mother has been forgotten in modern obstetrics; La Madre puts you first.

“All over the world, there exists in every society a small group of women who…
Feel themselves strongly attracted to giving care to other women during pregnancy and childbirth. Failure to make use of this group of highly motivated people is regrettable and a sin against the principle of subsidiary.”
